Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026 · Applies to Seed & Spell (Palavras no Jardim in Portuguese), version 1.0 and later, on iOS, iPadOS and Android, and to this website.
- We do not collect, store or sell any personal data. The game has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- Your progress, your garden, your settings and the name you choose are saved only on your device.
- When you share a picture, your phone's own share sheet sends it where you choose. Nothing comes to us.
- We only receive what you send us by email when you ask for help.
1. Who we are
Seed & Spell is developed by Example Studio ("we", "us"). If you have any question about privacy, write to support@example.com.
2. Data that stays on your device
To work, the game saves the following information in its own storage on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Progress: levels completed, difficulty, coins, seeds, garden plots and plants | So you can keep playing where you left off |
| The level in progress: words found, letters revealed and time | So a level you leave in the middle continues later |
| Settings: language, night in the garden, reduce motion, show my name when sharing | To remember your choices |
| Your name, if you add one (optional) | To greet you on the home screen and, if you allow it, to show it on pictures you share |
| A support ID: 8 random characters created on first launch | So you can quote it if you write to us. It is not linked to your device, your account or your identity |
Deleting the game removes all of this data. Because the data never leaves your device, we cannot restore it or move it to a new device. Your system backup (for example iCloud or Google backup) may include the game's data, depending on your device settings; those backups are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, and we have no access to them.
3. What we do not do
- No account or sign-in, and no server of ours that receives game data.
- No advertising, no advertising identifier (IDFA or Android Advertising ID) and no tracking across apps or websites.
- No analytics, crash reporting or other third-party SDKs that send data. The game is built with the Unity engine, and its usage and diagnostics reporting is turned off in the version we publish.
- No access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone or photos.
- No in-app purchases in version 1.0.
4. Sharing pictures
When you tap Share, the game creates a picture of your garden or your level result on your device and opens the system share sheet. You decide where it goes (a message, a social network, saving it to your photos, and so on). The game does not know whether or where you sent it, and we receive nothing. Whatever app you share to handles the picture under its own privacy policy.
The picture shows your name only if you added one and the "Show my name when sharing" setting is on. It also includes a link and a QR code to the game's page. The temporary file is kept in the game's cache and deleted automatically.
If you choose to save the picture to your photos, your system may ask for permission to add photos. The game only adds that picture; it never reads your photo library.
5. Notifications
This version of the game does not send notifications and does not ask for permission to send them. If a future version adds garden reminders, they will be local notifications created on your device, and this policy will be updated first.
6. When you contact us
If you tap Contact us, your email app opens a message to us with the game version, device model, operating system, game language and support ID already filled in, to help us solve the problem. You can read and edit this before sending. Your player name is never included. We use your email only to answer you, do not share it, and delete support conversations within 12 months after they end. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
7. Links and app stores
Links in the game (this policy, the terms, rating the game) open in your browser or in the App Store or Google Play. Downloads, updates and ratings are handled by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies.
8. This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics, ads or third-party scripts and fonts. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, date and page requested) for a short time to keep the site secure and working.
9. Children
The game is designed for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, because the game does not collect personal information at all.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe, the LGPD in Brazil or the CCPA in California), you have rights to access, correct and delete your personal data. Since the game data is only on your device, you control it directly: you can change your name in Settings or delete the game to erase everything. For emails you sent us, write to support@example.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Changes to this policy
If a future version of the game changes how data is handled (for example by adding optional ads), we will update this policy before that version is released, change the date at the top and describe the change in the app store listing.
